Why Product Management?

This image has been making the rounds on the internet again and it cracks me up each time.

That’s really why we do Product Management, right? Because we don’t get tired of answering, or asking, endless why’s thanks to our own curiosity. Curiosity never really killed the cat – actually, it built amazing products!

But in all seriousness, I love Product Management because there’s a huge common thread between this discipline and Islam – EMPATHY!

Seek first to understand, then to be understood.

Stephen Covey

I love listening to people’s stories – their triumphs, their struggles and everything in between. It’s what makes this world colourful. It’s what makes us human. So I’m a big believer of solving people’s problems – both personally and professionally. If I can make one person’s life easier by them just talking to me, I want to be there. And that, my friends, is the essence of Product Management.
